Industries have paid attention to AI or artificial intelligence. What are impacts for the semiconductor industry? Is it a useful tool or non-impact topic? From a view point of an industry watcher, AI and its impacts to the semiconductor industry will be discussed.

From July 2007 to present: Editor-in-Chief of Semiconportal, and before Semiconportal involved in Reed Business Information. At RBI, a few magazines were launched such as Semiconductor International Japanese edition, Electronic Business Japan and Design News Japan. Before joining RBI, he has been involved in editorial works in Nikkei BP (former Nikkei McGraw-Hill), including Nikkei Electronics Asia (only English magazine), Nikkei Microdevices, and Nikkei Electronics for over 20 years. Before joining Nikkei BP, he experienced design and development of microwave semiconductor devices at NEC Semiconductor Division for four years.
He received bachelor degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology majoring Applied Physics.
As a book writer, he has published several books, including "Mega-Trend of Semiconductors; 2014 to 2023", "Green Semiconductor and New Business Opportunities", "The Truth of European Fabless Semiconductor Industry", and "Semiconductors, Don't Miss the Growing Industry"
